Invertis University has been established by Government of UP u/s 2f of UGC Act, 1956 vide Invertis University Act 22 of 2010.
Invertis University, Uttar Pradesh has been established as a State Private University at Bareilly by Act No. 5 of 2009 State Legislature of Uttar Pradesh and is empowered to award degrees as specified by the UGC under section 22 UGC Act, 1956 through its main campus with the approval of statutory Councils.
Reference no.2784/SATTAR-1-10120(5)/09 Date of Approval: 31 AUGUST 2010. The Registration no of Invertis University, Bareilly is SSP/LW/NP-91/2008-10.
With reference to State Government notification no 1105(2)/LXXIX-V-1-10-1(Ka)29-2009 Dated 1 Sep 2010,on the Above subject, UGC is directed to say by reference no 8-23/2010(CPP-I/PU) Dated 7 Feb 2011 that Invertis University, Bareilly has been established by an Act(No22 of 2010) of state legislature of Uttar Pradesh as a State Private University and is empowered to award degrees as specified by the U.G.C under section 22 of the U.G.C Act 1956 through its main campus with the approval of statutory bodies /councils, where ever required.
During the visit University Grant Commission for the inspection of Physical & Academic Infrastructure of Invertis University, Bareilly Uttar Pradesh, the inspecting committee included a nominee from AICTE appointed by the UGC team itself. And as per the judgment of Hon’ble Supreme Court in reference to Appeal (civil) 2056 of 1999, there is no separate approval required from AICTE if the University has been inspected & approved under section 2(f) UGC Act, 1956.
