Ion Beam Applications

IBA (Ion Beam Applications SA) is a medical technology company based in Belgium. The company was founded in 1986 by Yves Jongen as a spin-off of the Cyclotron Research Center of the Catholic University of Louvain-la-Neuve (UCL). It employs about 1500 people in 40 locations. The company is active in the field of proton therapy, dosimetry, Radiopharma solutions, industrial sterilisation and ionisation.

It is supplying equipment and services to Proton Partners International which is developing three Proton Beam Therapy centres in the United Kingdom.

It is a supporting member of Healthcare Belgium.
