James Heappey is a British Conservative Party politician and MP for Wells.
James Heappey grew up in Nailsea and went to Queen Elizabeth's Hospital, an independent school in Bristol, he then attended the University of Birmingham.
Prior to becoming an MP, Heappey was a soldier in The Rifles for ten years rising to the rank of Major. He worked as a researcher for Liam Fox.
Heappey has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Wells since May 2015. He was opposed to Brexit prior to the 2016 referendum.
Heappey lives in the Somerset town of Axbridge with his wife and two children.
