James Palmer is the first Mayor of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, elected as the Conservative candidate in 2017. He was previously a councillor for the Soham North ward of East Cambridgeshire District Council, as well as the Soham and Fordham Villages electoral division of Cambridgeshire County Council.
