Jeppe Sebastian Kofod (born 14 March 1974) is an Danish politician and Member of the European Parliament (MEP) from Denmark. He is a member of the Social Democrats, part of the Party of European Socialists. He is currently leader of the Social Democrat Group in the European Parliament.
He has been a member of Danish Parliament from the Social Democrats from 1998 until 2014, where he was the lead candidate for the Social Democrats (Denmark) in the European Parliament election, 2014 (Denmark). From 2006 to 2007 Jeppe completed a Master in Public Administration at Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government. Jeppe also sits on the Executive Committee of AWEPA.
Jeppe Kofod is head of the Danish Socialists and Democrats' delegation and Vice-President of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats in the European Parliament. Serving his first term, Jeppe Kofod was elected to the European Parliament at the European Parliament election, 2014, with a total of 170.739 personal votes.
