Jingjiang (Chinese: 靖江; pinyin: Jìngjiāng) is a county-level city under the administration of Taizhou, Jiangsu province, China. It is located on the northern (left) bank of the Yangtze River, and is the southernmost county-level division of Taizhou City, bordering the prefecture-level cities of Nantong to the northeast, Suzhou to the southeast, Wuxi to the south, Changzhou to the southwest, and Zhenjiang to the west. Originally under the administration of the prefecture-level city of Yangzhou, Jingjiang was transferred to the Taizhou in 1996. The area of Jingjiang is 655.6 square kilometres and the population was 684,360 at the 2010 census. The city is now part of Jiangyn-Zhangjiagang built-up area with 3,526,260 inhabitants, growing very fastly and that could nearly be part of Shanghai-Suzhou-Wuxi-Changzhou Megacity built-up area.
As most of central Jiangsu, Jingjiang is situated on the Yangtze River's alluvial plain. About the only non-flat topographic feature is the appropriately named Lonely Hill, or Gushan, located near Gushan Town some 5–6 km northeast of Jingjiang's central city.
The city is part of the Yangtze River Delta region and has one river crossing. The Jiangyin Suspension Bridge, which carries the G2 Beijing–Shanghai Expressway to Jiangyin, is one of the longest suspension bridges in the world. The G40 Shanghai–Xi'an Expressway to Nanjing and Shanghai also passes through the city. Nanjing Lukou International Airport and Shanghai Pudong International Airport are both two hours' drive from Jingjiang.
