The station airs mainly religious and other time-brokerage programs. Live sporting events from the Los Angeles Dodgers and the men's basketball program at the University of California, Riverside air on KPRO. Due to time-brokerage commitments, Dodgers game broadcasts from the East Coast and the Midwest are delayed until 7 p.m.
The station went on the air as KACE in 1958. On October 30, 1986, the station changed its call sign to the current KPRO.
