Kakawaie Island is the largest of the privately owned islands on Lake Kagawong, itself located on Manitoulin Island in Ontario, Canada. There is a sandy beach on the northwest side of the island. The island is currently uninhabited by humans. Kakawaie Island is home to many massive 300 year old Maple trees, some of the oldest trees remaining on the Island. The island is also scattered with wild raspberries.
