Kamoke Tehsil

Kamoke is a Tehsil of Gujranwala District located on the Grand Trunk Road. It is headquartered at Kāmoke, which is approximately 50 km from Gujranwala - the district capital. It is famous for its market of Basmati rice produced by Asia rice mills. It is administratively subdivided into twenty four Union Councils.

Kamoke is a bustling town located on the GT road. Most inhabitants are Arae ,Butts, Dars, Jats, Mughals, Ansari, Maliks, Rajputs, Rehmani (Pathans are also influential) and depend on agriculture. It is famous for its rice and burfy (a local sweet). One of its famous village is chistiyabad (chajjoki0 that is famous by its history and politics. The power of this village is political mindset of the people.Its inhibitants that are mostly outside the country are the symbol of alarming for other people of the world.Rest of the people earn money by agriculture.Government school of this village showed brilliant results this year.A brilliant student whose name is Jawad Asghar got 1033 marks out of 1100. people present a tribute to teacher named Anwer Fareed for his eeforts.
