Kawaji Toshiyoshi

Kawaji Toshiyoshi (川路 利良^?, Satsuma Province, c. 1829 – 1879) was a Japanese politician during the Meiji period.

In Tokyo Kawaji planned to establish a police system similar to the gens d'armes in France. He traveled to Europe to investigate its police system to help improve the Japanese system.
