Khanda, Sonipat

Khanda is a big village in Sonipat district of Haryana. It is 2 miles away from Kharkhoda and 7 miles from Sonipat. The population of this village is approx 12,000. There are two government and four private schools and one college in the village. It is mainly inhabited by the Dahiya Jats. In 1709, Banda Singh Bahadur came here to make his army against Mughals after getting blessings of Guru Gobind Singh.
