Kinbombi is a town and a locality in the Gympie Region, Queensland, Australia.
The town takes its name from the railway station name assigned in 1902, which is derived from an Aboriginal word in the Kabi language, indicating a fight concerning a woman (gin meaning woman and bombe meaning hit).
The Kinbombi State School opened in 1926 and closed in 1938.
