Kristian Dennis (born 12 March 1990) is an English footballer who plays as a striker for Chesterfield in League One.
Dennis began playing in the youth teams of Football League Two club Macclesfield Town. He participated for Macclesfield Town U18 in the Third Round of the 2006–07 FA Youth Cup, starting in a 3–0 away defeat against Everton U18 on 4 January 2007. Dennis was replaced by Christopher Dykes in the 60th minute of the fixture. During his time at Macclesfield Town U18, Dennis was coached by John Askey, and would play alongside Wayne Rooney's younger brother, John Rooney, as well as Nick Blackman, Matthew Flynn, Shaun Brisley and Christian Millar.
Dennis made his debut for Macclesfield Town first-team in a 3–0 away defeat to Rotherham United in the 2007–08 Football League Two season on 1 January 2008, Dennis was substituted onto the field in the 89th minute. Dennis participated for Macclesfield Town U18 in the Third Round of the 2007–08 FA Youth Cup, scoring with a header in a 2–1 away defeat against Sunderland U18 at the Stadium of Light on 23 January 2008. John Rooney crossed the ball into Dennis who headed Macclesfield's only goal in the second half of the match.
In November 2008, Dennis joined Northern Premier League outfit Ashton United to gain additional game time. He made his debut on 15 November where he was substituted onto the field against Cammell Laird. Upon his return to Macclesfield Town for the 2008–09 Football League Two season, Dennis scored his first goal for the club in a 2–1 home victory against Barnet on 25 April 2009. Dennis was substituted onto the field in the second half and had only been on the field for ten minutes before scoring the winning goal, converting the ball into the net from a Macclesfield corner which had not been cleared by the Barnet defence. In November 2009 he went on loan again, this time to Woodley Sports, a move which was extended for a second month, before he returned to Macclesfield in mid-January 2010. He regularly found the net whilst on loan including a hat-trick against Radcliffe Borough.
