Megophrys kuatunensis (Pope, 1929)
The Kuatun horned toad or Kuatun spadefoot toad (Xenophrys kuatunensis) is a species of amphibian in the Megophryidae family. It is found in southeastern China and northern Vietnam. Its name is testimony to its type locality, Kuatun (Guadun in modern spelling: Chinese: 挂墩; pinyin: guàdūn) village in Wuyishan, Fujian. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical moist montane forests, and rivers. It is threatened by habitat loss.
Males measure 26–30 mm (1.0–1.2 in) and females 37 mm (1.5 in) in length.
