A/S Latvijas Gāze is a Latvian natural gas company, which deals in the importation, transmission, storage and sale of natural gas. It holds a monopoly on the natural gas market in Latvia. The country's gas transmission network is scheduled to be unbundled from the company by the end of 2017. In January 2016 the Marguerite Fund acquired a 28.97% stake from E.ON leaving the latter, whose fossil fuel assets have been spun off as Uniper with 18.26%.
