The 100 (pronounced The Hundred ) is an American post-apocalyptic drama television series. It premiered on March 19, 2014, on The CW. The TV series, developed by Jason Rothenberg, is loosely based on a 2013 book of the same name, the first in a trilogy by Kass Morgan.
On March 11, 2016, the series was renewed for a fourth season of 13 episodes, which is set to premiere on February 1, 2017. As of May 19, 2016[update], 45 episodes of The 100 have aired, concluding the third season.
