Nepali film from past years are watched frequently, the highest grossing movie was first held by Kusume Rumal that celebrated Rajat Jayanti in Nepal. Then its record was broken was All Time Musical Blockbuster Darpan Chayya directed by ace director Tulsi Ghimire. Its record was broken finally after many years when the gamechangers of Nepali film industry Loot and Chapali Height was released. Both became a blockbuster hit while earlier was critically acclaimed . Then came box office tsunami in the form of Kohinoor directed by Akash Adhikari a social drama action thriller that was last film of evergreen superstar Shree Krishna Shrestha before his death. The movies was first in history of NepalI cinema to cross NRP रु 10cr mark at box office. The movie was surpassed by Chakka Panja directed by Deepa Shree Niraula which is also the first and only film till date to cross रु 20cr at the box office that had all time evergreen comedy TV series actors like Deepak Raj Giri, Sitaram Kattel(Dhurmus), Kedar Ghimire(Magne Buda), Jitu Nepal(Mundre), Sivahari Paudel, Kiran KC( Rata Makai), Buddhi Tamang to name a few. The evergreen duo Maha Jodi i.e Hari Bamsha Acharya and Madan Krishan Shrestha also starred in 2074 blockbuster Shatru Gatey. We can conclude that these TV stars have immense craze among Nepali audience. The all time highest grossing movies is lead by these TV stars and young superstars like Anmol K.C.(highest Kri with रु 8.20cr), Paul Shah(highest Shatru Gate with रु 13cr) and Pradeep Khadka(highest Prem Geet 2 रु 9.5cr).
