Loafer is a 1996 Indian Bollywood film directed by David Dhawan and produced by Surinder Kapoor and Sarang Sonalkar. It stars Anil Kapoor and Juhi Chawla in pivotal roles. The film was a remake of the superhit Telugu film titled Assembly Rowdy (1991) starring Divya Bharti and Mohan Babu which itself was a remake of 1990 in Tamil film Velai Kidaichuduchu.
