Makenis (Armenian: Մաքենիս, also Romanized as Mak’enis and Maqenis) is a town in the Gegharkunik Province of Armenia. The Makenyats Vank in the town was a major cultural and educational center of medieval Gegharkunik, with structures dating from the 9th to 13th centuries.
