Malo maximus (incorrect original spelling Malo maxima) is a small and extremely venomous Irukandji jellyfish found near Australia. Its stings are potentially fatal as it causes a severe form of Irukandji-like syndrome. It was first described to science in 2005, and is the most dangerous of the four species in genus Malo.
