Mark Meek is an American Democratic politician and real estate agent currently serving in the Oregon House of Representatives. He represents the 40th district, which covers parts of northern Clackamas County, including Oregon City, Jennings Lodge, Oatfield, Johnson City, and Gladstone.
Meek won election to the Oregon House of Representatives by just over 50% after a campaign fraught with scandals. This included a spy being sent to his opponent's campaign, and the use of fraudulent surveys claiming to show his opponent's positions, when in fact they were never answered by the candidate.
Meek graduated from Park College and served in the United States Air Force. He is the owner of Mt. Tabor Pub and Mark's Hawthorne Pub. Meek served on the Clackamas County Planning Commission, the North Clackamas Chamber of Commerce, the committee of the Oregon Association of Realtors, and the committee of the Portland Metropolitan Association of Realtors.
He won in the Democratic primary for the state House in 2016 to replace the retiring Brent Barton, and defeated Republican candidate Evon Tekorius in the general election with 51% of the vote.
Meek and his wife, Cindy, have 2 children: Jacob and Mark II.
