Habib al-Rahman al-Azmi was an Indian Scholar of Hadith and Fiqh. He was born in the town Maunath Bhanjan in the Mau district, in the Uttar Pradesh State. He completed the formal education in Mau in 1922 and took up a teaching assignment there.

He helped to bring the Musannaf of Abd al-Razzaq al-San'ani back to attention within the Muslim world.
