Melissa Thomas

Mélissa Thomas is an Australian actress. She is the daughter of the musician and record producer G. Wayne Thomas, (Morning of the Earth) and co-starred with Heath Ledger in the television series Sweat (1996) and has most recently been seen in the Heath Ledger episode of E! True Hollywood Story as herself, speaking frankly about life as his friend and co-star. She has featured in a number of films and television series / mini-series over the years.

Thomas is a trained dancer and she has danced for various Ballet companies. Her film work to date includes: Ghost Town (2000) playing a patient, alongside Ricky Gervais, Swimming Upstream (2003) playing Dawn Fraser, alongside Geoffrey Rush and Jesse Spencer, Thank God He Met Lizzie (1997) playing a bridesmaid, alongside Cate Blanchett (known as The Wedding Party in the USA), and Dallas Doll (1993) playing Margaret, alongside Sandra Bernhard and Rose Byrne.

Her television work includes roles in: All Saints (2003) playing Linda Thompson, "Sweat" (1996) playing Sandy Fricker alongside Heath Ledger, Late for School (1992) playing Lily Price, Brides of Christ (1990) playing Brigid Maloney, alongside Naomi Watts and Russell Crowe, A Country Practice (1990) playing Peta Thornton, Family and Friends (1990), E Street (1989) and G.P. (1989).
