The album contained a special selection of 38 songs Julio Iglesias had recorded over four decades.
In parallel, Columbia Records issued its own similar double-CD compilation, titled My Life: The Greatest Hits. According to Billboard, it was one of the very few times when Columbia and Sony Discos "separately released Spanish-dominant CDs by Iglesias".
