The Flying Lesbians were a seven-woman German music group which existed from 1974 to 1977 and released an eponymous album in 1975.

Their logo was a labrys, a double-headed axe. Their website explains that this is an ancient symbol of women's power throughout Europe.

They first performed, to an audience of 2,000, at a women's festival in Berlin in 1974. They functioned as a co-operative, and for copyright purposes worked under the joint pseudonym of "Emily Pankhurst".
