Monita Angelica Maharani Tahalea (born July 21, 1987), known as Monita Tahalea, is an Indonesian pop , Folk and jazz singer. She started her career as singer when she was able to be the fourth winner of Indonesian Idol season 2. She works as singer, songwriter and producer.
Monita was born in Jakarta. She began singing after finishing at fourth place in Indonesia Idol season 2. Later on, Indonesia Idol judges, Indra Lesmana interested to produce her album title 'Dream, Hope and Faith" in 2010. August 2013 she released an EP Songs of Praise with her band The Nightingales. At December 2015, Monita released her second album title "Dandelion"
She had a senior high school in SMA Negeri 1 Jakarta. Then she finished her bachelor's degree from Trisakti University. She studied Visual Communication Design.
