Mustafa Alobaid (born November 10, 1994) better known by his stage name Muzzy, is a British Drum and bass focused electronic musician. He first gained attention with his release on UKF, 'X No Way Out' in 2010 and continues to release original music, remixes and albums mainly on the record label Monstercat.
At the age of 11, Alobaidi started spending time on computers, learning coding, graphic art and music. Alobaidi was inspired and influenced mostly by rock and metal music. A lot of his friends were in rock / metal bands, yet Alobaidi never learnt how to play an instrument. Instead, he was much better suited to computers, leading to his discovery of electronic music, which inspired him to become an electronic music producer himself.
Alobaidi was influenced by rock / metal, early dubstep, ambient, electro and some pop artists. He took heavy influences from video game music, film scores and orchestral music, which is quite prominent as some of his songs feature orchestral suites, with an example being his song 'Endgame'.
Alobaidi had never had any previous training or music lessons, cannot make sheet music and knows little about music theory, Instead he simply writes melodies and compositions in his head that he would create mostly visually with the aid of analysers, metres and scopes.
