Mythicist Milwaukee is a nonprofit Atheist Secular organization founded in Milwaukee, Wisconsin by Sean Fracek and Antonio (Fritz) Blandon In January 2013, When they came across the Peter Joseph's film Zeitgeist:the Movie which linked today’s Western religions with ancient Sun and Nature worshipers. Fracek and Blandon wanted to learn more about these links and engaged in their own research. Early on they made contact with the late scholar D.M. Murdock, aka Acharya S who inspired them to do their own independent research into Mythicism. The Mythicist Milwaukee team researches and educates the freethought community about the parallels between religion and mythology, through conferences, podcasts, and documentaries. Endeavoring to Popularize the idea that many figures of antiquity – including Pagan gods and major Biblical characters – are myths.
The Mythinformation Conference is a day long conference organized by Mythicist Milwaukee. It showcases the many different formats there are to engage in the secular community. It involves deep Academic discussion into Science, Philosophy and History, Religious Debates, Comedic Acts, feature Films and documentaries. The first MYTHINFORMATION Conference was held on April 25, 2015. Brian Edwards, James Kirk Wall, and Hemant Mehta presented talks on secular subjects. The event was headlined by leading Mythicist author Dr. Richard Carrier, whose peer-reviewed work on the New Testament sheds serious doubt on Jesus’ existence.
