The third season of NCIS: New Orleans premiered on CBS on September 20, 2016 with a time slot change from Tuesdays at 9:00 p.m. to Tuesdays at 10:00 p.m. to make room for new series Bull. The season contained 24 episodes. This was the last season with Gary Glasberg as the showrunner as he died during production of the season. The season concluded on May 16, 2017.
