Nancy Hua is an American entrepreneur and CEO and co-founder of Apptimize, a mobile A/B testing and analytics start-up based in Menlo Park, CA.
Hua is the daughter of Chinese immigrants who she said raised her in an environment with "plenty of autonomy." She is a graduate of MIT where she double majored in writing and in math with computer science and MIT Varsity Fencing Team Captain. Hua went to work for GETCO, an algorithmic trading firm from 2007 to 2012.
Between 2010 and 2011, Hua's father recovered from a diagnosis of stage 3 colon cancer but her mother died from stage 4 lung cancer<
In 2013, Hua co-founded Apptimize, Y Combinator S13, subsequently raising $2.1 million in seed funding and an additional $4 million 11 months later.Rakuten was Apptimize's first paying customer in January 2014.
