Nomzamo Mbatha is a South African actress and model. In 2015, she starred in a romantic comedy film, Tell Me Sweet Something, and got an Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role nomination at the 12th Africa Movie Academy Awards.
She attended Bechet High School in Durban, then proceeded to study at the University of Cape Town and University of South Africa, graduating with a bachelor's degree in Commerce and Accounting. In March 2016, she lost her sister. According to BellaNaija, she's in a relationship with Maps Maponyane.
Mbatha's rise to fame started after she made it to the finals in the MTV Base VJ search in 2012. Although, she didn't win, she made the top three and was in the spotlight after the contest. In 2014, she was featured as one of the sexiest South Africans according to Sowetan Live. During a radio interview with Bonang Matheba, she explained that she is only interested in challenging roles. She also revealed that she will acquire the rights to a book then adapt into a film.
