Oakdale High School is an American public high school located in Frederick County, Maryland, in Ijamsville, near the city of Frederick.

The school's building was built in 2008 to temporarily hold Linganore High School while Linganore's original building was being renovated. In 2010, the school opened as Oakdale High School with only ninth and tenth grade. In the 2011-2012 school year, an eleventh grade was added, and finally, the next year, Oakdale had in its attendance all four grades. The first senior class from Oakdale graduated in June 2013.

Oakdale's first semester in 2010 was rather dull, with little to no "school culture". Most students who had transferred from other schools complained about attending the school, referring to it pejoratively as "Oakjail". Some of the athletic teams lacked proper school uniforms, notably the marching band, who borrowed uniforms from Governor Thomas Johnson High School during its first year. Since then, the school has created a school newspaper called "The Paw Print", a daily morning announcement program, and all athletic teams now wear proper uniforms. Oakdale's mascot is "Oakie" the Bear, who appears at the school's athletic events. After two years of athletic victories, many students who had transferred from other schools began to feel a sense of pride in attending Oakdale High.

Dr. Seaton, the school's first principal, said at an orientation that the school's rivals are Tuscarora High School, Linganore High School and Urbana High School. All three schools are all in Frederick County and are in close proximity to Oakdale, however, with little school history, a main rival cannot be determined yet.

For the 2013-2014 school year, Oakdale had a new administration consisting of Mr. Jeffrey Marker as principal, and Ms. Burcker and Mr. Caulfield as vice-principals. This change was due to former administrators either being promoted to work in the FCPS Central Office in downtown Frederick, or being transferred to positions in other schools.

For the 2016-2017 school year, Oakdale underwent another administration change, consisting of Mrs. Donna Clabaugh as principal, along with Ms. Baker, Mr. Chavez and Ms. Dorsey as the assistant principals.
