The Wami tilapia, Oreochromis urolepis, is a tilapiine cichlid native to African countries, but now found in many countries due to its food fish.
Males of this species reach 44.0 cm (17.3 in) in SL. It is a freshwater, and brackish benthopelagic species of tilapis, which has high value as a food, and also as an aquarium fish
