Pogarsky District (Russian: Пога́рский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-seven in Bryansk Oblast, Russia. It is located in the south of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,196 square kilometers (462 sq mi). Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Pogar. Population: 28,333 (2010 Census); 35,588 (2002 Census);37,523 (1989 Census). The population of Pogar accounts for 35.3% of the district's total population.
