Preet Gill is a British Labour Co-operative politician, who has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Birmingham Edgbaston since the June 2017 United Kingdom general election; She is the first female British Sikh MP. She had previously been a councillor for Sandwell, serving as the Cabinet Member for Public Health and Protection. In July 2017 she was elected as a member of the Home Affairs Select Committee.
