Preston N. Jacobus (February 25, 1864 – November 28, 1911) was an American real estate developer, businessman, and politician. He served one term as Mayor of Tucson, Arizona Territory. Jacobus was a member of the Republican Party.
In an interview with journalist David Leighton, of the Arizona Daily Star newspaper, Donald A. Jacobus, grandson of Preston N. Jacobus, stated that the last name is pronounced Jay-KAH-bus. The surname is commonly mispronounced JAH-ko-bus. (see article below)
