Prokhorovsky District (Russian: Про́хоровский райо́н) is an administrative district (raion), one of the twenty-one in Belgorod Oblast, Russia.Municipally, it is incorporated as Prokhorovsky Municipal District. It is located in the north of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,378.7 square kilometers (532.3 sq mi). Its administrative center is the urban locality (a settlement) of Prokhorovka. Population: 30,094 (2010 Census); 31,847 (2002 Census);29,505 (1989 Census). The population of Prokhorovka accounts for 32.4% of the district's total population.
