As of January 2017

Quarrio is an American for-profit corporation and a natural language user interface for databases concerned specifically with business intelligence retrieval. Functionally, the product allows a user to ask questions about the data in the natural language and correspondingly answers the queries in a conversational manner augmented with dynamic reporting and auto-generated graphs. Quarrio's notable achievements include: being recognized by the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) as the winner in the big data category of the Nextgen 2014 competition, being termed as the 'Most Disruptive' startup in the same competition and being inducted in the Salesforce incubator. The company was founded by KG Charles-Harris in January 2013 is based at University Avenue, Berkeley, California.

As of 4 February 2017, Quarrio is still in development and product usage is invite-based only with the first iteration of the product exclusively analyzing only Salesforce data. The main benefit to using the product, as mentioned by Quarrio on their official page, is the fact that data interpretation is automatized and hence the need for reports and database administrators for such purposes is eliminated.

The word Quarrio is a combination of the words query and warrior and underlines the major philosophy behind the company's existence. In modern urban slang the term warrior is ascribed to individuals of increased passion on a certain topic and in this case is used in conjunction with query i.e. an individual skilled in extracting trends and information from database systems. Quarrio strives to enable any user with such a skillset through their product.
