Rashid Khawaja is a Pakistani media professional and famous drama & film producer, who is among the pioneers of private media industry in the country. He has been associated with several media firms, including advertising agencies. During his career spanning over 30 years as a media professional, Rashid Khawaja has launched and headed many TV channels and ad agencies in different capacities.

Born on July 3 1954, Rashid Khawaja completed his early education from St. Patrick's College (Karachi). He moved to the United States in 1980 and came back to Pakistan in 1989.

Rashid Khawaja started off his media career as the executive director of Pakistan’s first private TV network, Network Television Marketing (NTM), from 1990 to 1999. He has also headed two major advertising agencies i.e. Manhattan Pakistan as CEO, and Interflow Communications as its Resident Director based in Islamabad. Later on, he joined Prime Entertainment as Director Programs in 2002. In 2008, Rashid Khawaja joined A-TV network and launched their major Entertainment Channel A-Plus entertainment as its CEO in 2010.

His famous films include “Very Good Dunya Very Bad Log” (1998), “Salakhain” (2004) and Life Story (2016)

Rashid Khawaja has produced several drama serials with the most popular being “”. He is also the founder chairman of United Producers’ Association (UPA) in Pakistan.

Rashid Khawaja holds the record of longest stretching modeling career in Pakistan that spans over 6 decades; he did his first Magazine Cover at the age of two and is still doing TV Commercials to this date.
