Reinado de El Salvador is a national Beauty pageant in El Salvador. This pageant is not related to Nuestra Belleza El Salvador pageant.
Began in 2007 the Reinado de El Salvador acquired major franchises in El Salvador for women and men. The Reinado El Salvador Organization is purposing to spread the beauty and values of Salvadoran women to the world, to give support to excel through our personal preparation classes, promote culture, traditions, and Tourism custumbres our country in major beauty events worldwide.
In March of 2017, the organization was awarded the franchise licensee for Miss Universe.
Note that the year designates the time Reinado de EL Salvador has acquired that particular pageant franchise.

The official winner of Nuestra Belleza El Salvador competed at the Miss Universe pageant between 1954 and 2015. On occasion, when the winner does not qualify (due to age) for either contest, a runner-up is sent. In 1954 and 1955 the representatives were handpicked. With the exception in 1981, where the winner was sent to Miss World. Since 2006, El Salvadoran representative crowns at the annual Nuestra Belleza El Salvador pageant. In 2006, Nuestra Belleza El Salvador acquired the Miss Universe franchise and started crowning two titleholders, one for Miss Universe and another for Miss World, in separate pageants until 2010 when the pageants were merged. Between 2010 - 2014, two titleholders were crowned at the same event.
