Sir Richard Douglas Lapthorne CBE is an English company director, best known for his roles in McLaren Group and Cable & Wireless. Lapthorne has previously worked in companies including Unilever and British Aerospace.
Lapthorne was educated at Calday Grange Grammar School, West Kirby, and received a BCom from Liverpool University.
He was knighted in the 2010 New Year Honours for services to telecommunications.
