Roose railway station is a railway station that serves the suburb of Roose, which is in the town of Barrow-in-Furness in Cumbria, England. It is located on the Furness Line to Lancaster 1 3⁄4 miles (2.8 km) south of the main Barrow station.
Facilities here are very basic - it is unstaffed and there are no permanent buildings present, other than standard shelters. Travellers must buy tickets on the train or in advance, as there are no ticketing facilities on offer. Train running information is provided by telephone and timetable posters. Step-free access to the platforms is available via a ramp on the south side from the nearby road bridge that also acts as the link between the two and directly from the adjacent road on the northbound side.
Roose is served by Northern, who operate a basic hourly service with some two hour gaps between Barrow-in-Furness and Lancaster. Certain trains are extended northwards to Workington and Carlisle and several southbound ones are extended to Preston or Manchester Airport. A two-hourly service operates on Sundays, with no trains beyond Barrow.
