Sealdah-Ranaghat-Krishnagar-Berhampore-Lalgola line popularly called as Sealdah main line is a railway branch line connecting the terminal Lalgola railway station to Sealdah railway station. This railway line covers a 227 km long stretch from Sealdah to Lalgola. It is one of the oldest railway tracks in this division.
There are three express trains run in this route: 13104/13103 Sealdah-Lalgola Bhagirathi Express, 13113/13114 Kolkata-Lalgola Hazarduari Express and 13117/13118 Kolkata-Lalgola Dhanodhanya express.
The other passenger trains include Sealdah-Lalgola passengers, Sealdah-Berhampore Court MEMU passengers, Ranaghat Jn-Lalgola MEMU passengers. This rout was completely electrified in 2004
A new bridge is under construction over Bhagirathi River after Murshidabad railway station to connect this line with the Azimganj Jn railway station of Malda division.
