Sesser is a city in Franklin County, Illinois, United States. The population was 1,931 at the 2010 census.

According to the 2010 census, Sesser has a total area of 1.011 square miles (2.62 km2), of which 1.01 square miles (2.62 km2) (or 99.9%) is land and 0.001 square miles (0.00 km2) (or 0.1%) is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 2,128 people, 918 households, and 584 families residing in the city. The population density was 2,084.9 people per square mile (805.5/km²).
