Sink drain cover

A sink drain cover is a drain cover used for sinks. It is made of stainless steel in order to prevent corrosion and therefore it is a subset of stainless steel strainers. Usually it has round holes in it. A sink strainer with smaller holes can be used on top of the drain cover, in order to reduce the size of the flushed particles. Sometimes the sink strainer can completely replace the drain cover.

Retailers use alternative names like sink drain basket, sink drain strainer, sink strainer, sink drain plug, sink waste filter, sink filter, sink drain filter or drain filter.
