Slowburn is an American hard rock band, best known for the 2015 hit "Tidal Wave".
The band has been featured on WWE, NFL Network, and numerous other cable shows.
Formed in Milwaukee, Slowburn consisted of lead singer Christian Corchado, rhythm guitarist Nick Corrao, drummer Matthew Tatlock, rhythm guitarist Jacob Rakidich, and bassist Nick Tadeo. Nick Tadeo would later be replaced by bassist Jarod Adams. Matthew Tatlock would later be replaced by Seth Daughtry (of no relation to American Idol contestant, Chris Daughtry.) The original name for the band was Slow Burn, however because there was already a successful Canadian band with the same name, they chose Slowburn before the release of their debut album Slowburn in 2010.
In 2010, Slowburn released a self-titled album, that featured their first hit, "Fade Away" that originally appeared on MPTV, and two other singles: "Your Floor" and "Say Goodbye". Say goodbye would go on to win the band some local fame on Kiss Fm/Kiss Icon also being played abroad, quickly becoming a "burner" or fan favorite. The album was recorded at Meko Studios, and mixed at Meko Studios Home Studio by Meko Stanosevic. The self-titled album was a moderate success on American Campus Chart, debuting at No. 34 on April 30, 2011, and peaking at No. 16 on June 11.
In addition to success on the album charts, the single "Tidal Wave" debuted at No. 28 on the RPM Alternative 30 charts on April 29, 2011., peaking at No. 10, where it stayed for two weeks in June 2011.
After touring extensively behind their self-titled album, the band continued in the midst of finishing their third album. Only one song, "Tidal Wave", from the released album has appeared, becoming the first and only music video to date.
The band began discovering new vocal talent, Randomly one member attended MATC and graduated in June 2001.
