Solntsevsky District (Russian: Со́лнцевский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-eight in Kursk Oblast, Russia. It is located in the south of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,051.8 square kilometers (406.1 sq mi). Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Solntsevo. Population: 15,382 (2010 Census); 18,492 (2002 Census);22,492 (1989 Census). The population of Solntsevo accounts for 27.9% of the district's total population.
