Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (Sinhalese: ශ්‍රී ලංකා තොරතුරු තා‌ක්ෂණ ආයතනය, Tamil: இலங்கை தகவல் தொழில்நுட்ப நிறுவனம்) also popularly known as SLIIT is a non-state higher education and degree granting institute in Sri Lanka.

It was founded in 1999 in response to rapid development of the IT industry in the country in 90's. The institute was established by the government of Sri Lanka. It has two campuses and four centres. The main campus is in Malabe, 16 km from Colombo. It also has a metropolitan campus in Colombo, the island's largest city.

SLIIT is accredited as a degree awarding institute under the Universities Act of Sri Lanka, and offers bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees in computing, business and engineering with the consent of University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka.

SLIIT is a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities and International Association of Universities. It enrolls approximately 7000 undergraduate and graduate students.
