"Stormborn" is the second episode of the seventh season of HBO's fantasy television series Game of Thrones, and the 62nd overall. The episode was written by Bryan Cogman, and directed by Mark Mylod. The title of the episode refers to both Daenerys Targaryen, who was born during a terrible storm, and Euron Greyjoy, who declares himself to be "the storm".
In Dragonstone, Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) begins planning her conquest of Westeros, deciding to use a Westerosi-led army to siege King's Landing, and sending her Unsullied and Dothraki infantry to attack Casterly Rock. In Winterfell, Jon Snow (Kit Harington) receives a message from Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage), summoning him to Dragonstone, which Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) advises against, though she is overruled. In the Riverlands, Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) begins her journey to King's Landing, but has a change of heart and instead heads north to Winterfell, before being encroached by a wolf-pack led by her former direwolf Nymeria. In King's Landing, Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) warns her bannermen about Daenerys' impending invasion. In the Narrow Sea, the Greyjoys and Sand Snakes are attacked by Euron Greyjoy's (Pilou Asbæk) Iron Fleet, with Yara Greyjoy (Gemma Whelan) and Ellaria Sand (Indira Varma) being taken as hostages. At the Citadel, Samwell Tarly (John Bradley) attempts to heal Jorah Mormont's (Iain Glen) greyscale.
