Sunnyside is a former city in Carbon County, Utah, United States. The population was 377 at the 2010 census. On January 1, 2014, the city merged with the neighboring city of East Carbon to form the city of East Carbon-Sunnyside.
Sunnyside is located southeast of the center of Carbon County and is east of East Carbon. Price, the county seat, is 26 miles (42 km) to the west. Before its merger with East Carbon, Sunnyside had a total area of 3.1 square miles (8.1 km2), all of it land.
According to the Köppen Climate Classification system, Sunnyside has a semi-arid climate, abbreviated "BSk" on climate maps.
As of the 2000 census, there were 404 people, 160 households, and 104 families residing in the city. The population density was 128.6 people per square mile (49.7/km²). There were 183 housing units with an average density of 58.3 per square mile (22.5/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 90.84% White, 0.50% African American, 6.93% from other races, and 1.73% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 20.30% of the population.
There were 160 households, of which 28.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 58.1% were married couples living together, 3.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 34.4% were non-families. 30.0% of all households were made up of individuals (single person) and 16.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.53 and the average family size was 3.20.
